There is no pressure to commit to a service without talking it through.
Before your appointment, it helps to gather a few inspiration images. These do not need to be exact — they are a starting point for the conversation. Save a few photos to your phone that show the colour, cut, or overall vibe you are after.
The Consultation
Every appointment at Bigoudee starts with a consultation. Your stylist will sit down with you, look at your inspiration images, assess your hair’s current condition, and ask questions about your lifestyle and maintenance preferences. This is not a formality — it is the foundation of the entire appointment.
Be honest about what you have done to your hair previously — box dye, previous bleaching, heat damage. This information helps your stylist create a plan that is realistic and safe for your hair. There is never any judgment here.
The Service
Once the consultation is complete and you are both on the same page, the service begins. Depending on what you are having done, your appointment may take anywhere from 45 minutes for a cut to 3 or more hours for a full colour transformation. Your stylist will give you an honest time estimate at the start.
We use O&M ammonia-free colour for all colouring services — a clean, professional formula that is gentler on your hair and scalp. For treatments, we work with Kevin Murphy, K18, and Davines — salon-exclusive brands chosen for performance.
The Finish
After your service, your stylist will blow-dry and style your hair and walk you through how to recreate the look at home. They will recommend specific products suited to your hair and show you the techniques they used. This is also the time to ask any questions about maintenance, home care, or your next appointment.
