Bigoudee Coiffure was founded by Jean-Marie Calistri, a French-trained hairdresser who brought a distinctly European approach to Perth’s hair scene when he established the salon in Mount Lawley. The name “Bigoudee” is a nod to the traditional French hair roller — a symbol of craft, precision, and the art of a truly well-executed hairstyle.
Jean-Marie’s philosophy is simple: do the work properly, use the best products, and take care of every client as an individual. That ethos is woven into everything the team does.

A Specialist Colour Team
Colour is at the heart of Bigoudee. Our colourists are specialists — not generalists. They are trained in advanced techniques including balayage, colour correction, organic colouring with O&M, and creative colour transformations. We take colour consultations seriously and never rush the process. Getting the colour right requires understanding the hair, the person, and the goal — and that takes time and expertise.
Jordan, one of our lead colourists, is particularly known for her signature balayage work — delivering sun-kissed, natural results that clients love and that grow out beautifully.
