He found the tools, especially scissors, fascinating. Over the years, after mastering the art of cutting and understanding its geometry, he fell in love with hairdressing all over again, this time with hair color, foils, and balayage. The chemistry behind it is an art, and just like with haircuts, once you understand the rules well, you can start breaking them and pushing boundaries. Jean-Marie firmly believes in embracing new techniques while honouring classic methods that have proven themselves over the years. He sees the value in incorporating new techniques into old ones to create something timeless yet contemporary. While social media and TV shows serve as inspiration for many, Jean-Marie finds his main inspiration on the streets. There, he observes the real, lived-in styles of people passing by, capturing the essence of contemporary fashion and trends.
